ODIRS Charges Staff On Dedication to Duties

The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has charged its member of staff to be more committed to duties in order to scale up the Internal Generated Revenue in the state.

The Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Tolu Adegbie gave this charge during their monthly prayer meeting which is usually held on the first working day of every month at the office headquarters, Revenue House in Akure.

While welcoming members of Staff to the new quarter, the Executive Chairman appreciated God for shielding members through the course of the months, and also encouraged them to be more committed and not to relent in their efforts towards achieving greater success in the second quarter.

The Executive Chairman stressed the need for members of staff to imbibe the tenets of hard work while discharging their duties as Revenue Officers, saying that much is expected from them.

He urged the staff to be more focused and not to navigate from the goal of the agency as individual talents will be spotted and attract huge rewards in what he referred to as the `The Year of Management and the Rise of Talents`.

His words, `I can see all your efforts and I am set to reward those of you that will put in more. You will be spotted wherever you are, either at the headquarters or any of the tax Stations and you will be singled out for special promotion`.

The Chaplain of the Agency Barrister Gregory Afuwape exhorted the congregation on the topic: `Joy that last forever` while the ODIRS Choir gave a beautiful rendition titled `Iroyin Ayo (Good News)` led by the Director, Personal Income Tax Mr Segun Enikuomehin who is also the Director of Music for the Choir.

Highlights of the monthly prayer meeting include the birthday celebration of members of staff who had their birthday in the course of the first quarter of the year.
