In its bid to remain 21st century ICT compliant in revenue generation and improve on digital skills of members of staff, the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has embarked on one-week workshop on practical digital skills acquisition training for its members of staff. The practical training tagged: `Digital skills Competence in workplace` is scheduled to hold between 22nd and 25th of August, 2023 at the Learning Centre of ODIRS Revenue house, Akure.
According to the Executive Chairman, of the Service, Mr Tolu Adegbie while declaring the practical training open, the workshop is meant to enhance the digital skills of staff members in handling their various schedules of duties for better performance. Mr Adegbie who reiterated his agency commitment to human development said `when it comes to training, we always bring the best and we have done so again by bringing the best in the ICT field to handle this workshop`.
He added that the training is basically to improve on the use of Microsoft office Suites, Data Analysis among other packages useful for tax transactions. The workshop which covers staffers across various departments such as Tax Audit Field, Tax Audit Service, Motor Licensing Authority, Relationship Management Unit, Corporate Services, E-Receipt, Special IGR, Land Use Charge, TIN, Hotel Consumption Tax, Contact Centre, also have in attendance Directors, Head of Departments, Tax Station Managers.
Computer Systems were made available for all the participants, to enable them put into practice what they are being taught in the training class. The training which was facilitated by Leruze Multi-National Limited, which held at the Revenue House Learning Centre on Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th August, 2023.
